Timesaver9000 was founded by Trevor Merchant in August 2021.

My name is Trevor Merchant, otherwise known as Timesaver9000 on social media. I moved around a lot as a kid for my father’s job, living in 5 different states by the time I was 12, finally residing in Wake Forest, North Carolina. After graduating high school, I moved all around the continent pursuing a career in ice hockey until I was 21. At this time, I decided to go to school at North Carolina State University where I acquired a degree in Business Administration in 3 years in addition to becoming a real estate agent in my spare time by my sophomore year.

Ultimately I graduated a year early, in May of 2020, as I had enough credits and classes moved to online due to COVID-19. 

Truthfully I had no idea what I wanted to do for the rest of my life during this time. I was interested in everything, tested out various careers, but just hadn’t found my true passion. I was selling houses and helping my mother out at her shop as she had her own fabric store and no employees. By the time I had started Timesaver9000 in August 2021, but hadn’t yet seen the feasibility of creating a reasonable income from content creation, the housing market got crazy and I decided I no longer enjoyed the industry as much, so I went full time at my family’s small business and continued creating videos on the side for fun.

I felt like I was getting behind in life. I started applying for full-time jobs within the scope of my degree, 117 applications and only 2 interviews later, I gave up on that. That’s when I decided to take social media seriously, and I’m so grateful to have amassed a following of over 3 million people across platforms.

Today, I can confidently say, content creation is my career. I’m so thankful to everyone for their support and allowing me to be able to monetize something I love doing. I have met some amazing people along the way and I look forward to what comes next.
